Inter-Institutional Science Fair on the theme ‘Science, Society and Environment’ held at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala
Patiala: 15th October, 2022
Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala today organized Inter-Institutional Science Fair-2022 on the theme of ‘Science, Society and Environment’ under the guidance of college Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar. The Science Fair serves as a platform for the students to display their creativity and scientific understanding about recent trends in Science and Technology, Environmental issues, Biodiversity conservation, Biotechnology and human welfare, Physics for life, Mathematics for a better world and role of chemistry in human life. About 400 students from various educational institutions including 6 colleges and 22 schools participated with their Poster Presentations, Projects and Models (working and static).
Vice principal of the college Prof. Ved Prakash Sharma welcomed the chief guest, judges and the students from various institutes and said that the progress in science and technology, keeping in mind the environmental issues, is integral in the development of the society.
In the valedictory function Chief Guest Sh. Parminder Singh, Deputy Director, Directorate of Public Instruction congratulated the winners and said that Science fairs are necessary to inculcate scientific temperament in the students. He appreciated the displayed models and posters.
Dr. Ashwani Sharma, Dean Life Sciences and Co-ordinator of the Science Fair discussed the themes and subthemes of the fair with the students. Organising Secretary of this fair Dr. Rajeev Sharma motivated the students to develop scientific temperament and logical thinking by participating in such events.
Dr. Karamjit Singh, Dr. Arneet Gill and Dr. Harpreet Kaur (for College Category) Prof. Sadhu Singh, Dr. Ambika Beri, Dr. Rommy Garg, Dr. Rachna Bhardwaj, Dr. Suneet Kumar and Prof. Sudha Rani (School Category) adjudged the participants for the positions.
The winners were awarded with mementos and certificates. All the participants were given participation certificates. The results of various categories of winners are:

Poster Presentation –First position was won by Sushamjot Kaur and Prabhsimran Kaur of Khalsa College, Patiala and Second position was jointly bagged by Sadik Verma and Aradhya of M.M.Modi College, Patiala and Nandini and Ankita of Govt. Ranbir College, Sangrur.
Static Model Category – First position was won by Noorpreet Kaur and Arvinder Kaur of M.M.Modi College, Patiala and second position was jointly bagged by Vishal and Priyanshu of M.M.Modi College, Patiala and Gurpreet Singh and Navdeep Singh of Khalsa College, Patiala.
Working Model Category- First position was won by Simran and Prabhjot Sharma of Govt. Ranbir College, Sangrur. Second position was jointly bagged by Angelina Paul and Prachi and Janvi and Kunal of M.M.Modi College, Patiala.

Static Model Category – First position was won by Jaspreet Kaur and Ishpreet Singh of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur School, Patiala and second position was jointly bagged by Lovepreet Kaur of Senior Secondary Public School, Punjabi University and Dhriti Jindal and Mehargeet Kaur of Budha Dal Public School, Patiala.

ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਅੱਜ ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ‘ਵਿਗਿਆਨ, ਸਮਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ’ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ‘ਤੇ ਅੰਤਰ-ਸੰਸਥਾਗਤ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਮੇਲਾ-2022 ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਮੇਲੇ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ, ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ, ਜੈਵ ਵਿਭਿੰਨਤਾ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ, ਬਾਇਓਟੈਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਕਲਿਆਣ, ਜੀਵਨ ਲਈ ਭੌਤਿਕ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ, ਇੱਕ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਲਈ ਗਣਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਸਾਇਣ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਸਮਝ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਮੰਚ ਮੁੱਹਈਆ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਮੇਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ 6 ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਅਤੇ 22 ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ 400 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀਆਂ, ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਡਲਾਂ (ਵਰਕਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਸਟੈਟਿਕ) ਨਾਲ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਵਾਈਸ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਵੇਦ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ, ਜੱਜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪੁੱਜੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਰਸਮੀ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ,ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨਿੱਖੜਵਾਂ ਅੰਗ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਮਾਨਵ ਭਲਾਈ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟੋਰੇਟ ਆਫ਼ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਇੰਸਟ੍ਰਕਸ਼ਨ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਸ੍ਰ. ਪਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਜੇਤੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਮੇਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਤੇ ਰੁਝਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਉਭਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਹਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਯੋਗੀਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਸਤੁਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਖੋਜ-ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟਾਂ, ਪੋਸਟਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਮਾਡਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਮੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਕੋਆਰਡੀਨੇਟਰ,ਰਜਿਸਟਰਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਈਫ ਸਾਇੰਸਜ਼ ਦੇ ਡੀਨ ਡਾ.ਅਸ਼ਵਨੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਪ-ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਮੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕੀ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਕਮਿਸਟਰੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ. ਰਾਜੀਵ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸਮਾਗਮਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਅਤੇ ਤਰਕਸ਼ੀਲ ਸੋਚ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ।
ਜੱਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਵਜੋਂ ਕਾਲਜ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ ਲਈ ਡਾ. ਕਰਮਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡਾ. ਅਰਨੀਤ ਗਿੱਲ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਜਦੋਂਕਿ ਸਕੂਲ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸਾਧੂ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡਾ. ਅੰਬਿਕਾ ਬੇਰੀ, ਡਾ. ਰੋਮੀ ਗਰਗ, ਡਾ. ਰਚਨਾ ਭਾਰਦਵਾਜ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸੁਧਾ ਰਾਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਸੁਨੀਤ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਨਿਭਾਈ। ਜੇਤੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦਗਾਰੀ ਚਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਯੋਗੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ ਤਕਸੀਮ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।
ਇਸ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਮੇਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਮਨਲਿਖਤ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤੇ ਤੇ ਇਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੇ:

ਸਟੈਟਿਕ ਮਾਡਲ: ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਨੂਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ, ਦੂਸਰਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਹੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਿਆਂਸ਼ੂ ਅਤੇ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਨਵਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ।
ਵਰਕਿੰਗ ਮਾਡਲ: ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਰਣਬੀਰ ਕਾਲਜ, ਸੰਗਰੂਰ ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਜੋਤ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ, ਦੂਸਰਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਹੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਐਂਜਲੀਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਨਵੀ ਤੇ ਕੁਨਾਲ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ।

ਵਰਕਿੰਗ ਮਾਡਲ: ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਸੈਂਟਪੀਟਰਜ਼ ਐਕਡਮੀ ਦੇ ਜੈਅ ਅਰੋੜਾ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ, ਦੂਸਰਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਅਵਰ ਲੇਡੀ ਆਫ਼ ਫ਼ਾਤਿਮਾ ਸਕੂਲ, ਅਸਰਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਅੰਤਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਖਮਨ ਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਅਤੇ ਬੁੱਢਾ ਦਲ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਭਵਨੂਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ।
ਮੰਚ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਇਸ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਮੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਆਰਗੈਨਾਇਜ਼ਿੰਗ ਸੈਕਰੇਟਰੀ ਡਾ. ਰਾਜੀਵ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਨਿਭਾਈ। ਡਾ. ਵਰੁਣ ਜੈਨ, ਮੁਖੀ ਗਣਿਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਕਹੇ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਰਹੇ।
